Turn off the flash!
Turn off the flash, most of the time you will only get harsh lighting on your subjects that wipe out the entire atmosphere. Today’s camera sensors allow you to shoot with a high sensitivity (ISO), allowing one to capture descent images without the flash. Better yet, if you are a DSLR owner get an external flash that triggers remotely, this will open up a whole world of opportunity to create or enhance mood! |

When you set your camera to incandescent, it’s applying a blue corrective tint to the recorded image to compensate for the orange. For Halloween photography you want to capture the colors of warm candlelight, a foggy porchlight, or that evening glow.
