BE YOURSELF:
It’s not easy for everyone to connect with little people, and if you can’t authentically connect, how can you hope to capture an authentic image? The best thing you can do to create beautiful art with a child is simply relax and be yourself. Kids are perceptive, probably more so than adults in many ways. They sense when you’re inauthentic and aren’t being yourself, and they’ll respond to that.
Remember, kids love being treated as an equal just like adults. If you respect them, breathe deep, act like yourself and have fun, you’ll be a success. Guaranteed.
There are tons of ways to do things differently. Be the first to jump up and down, play your own game and throw your hands in the air in celebration! Fight against self-imposed limitations; find patients and your authentic child, your artistic inspiration will follow.

I specialize in capturing the passions and personalities of the people I photograph. If you are familiar with my work or have been referred by a creative director, client or friend, then you know I approach things in a very relaxed and up-beat way. I appreciate and enjoy a very down-to-earth approach to people and photography. My success comes from my ability to make people feel at ease and to deal with each individual on their terms. Rather than posing I merely observe how one carries him or herself and focus on the natural assets of the individual. I'm more interested in conveying a personality than glamorizing an individual--it's all about what is--and then making that uniqueness stand out.
