Since 1988, SophterLight mitvah photography has been providing unique and memorable photographic portraits and event photography to New York and CT's Jewish communities. Our mitzvah photo packages are completely customizable in terms of coverage duration, location(s) and finished product selection--all of this is suited to your needs. We sculpt packages for you that include tradition albums, photo books, folios, framed enlarged photos, canvases, images boxes or digital albums on DVD. We provide viewing of your event images on our website where your family and guests can purchase their own copies; or, if you'd prefer we offer the option to purchase your digital negatives, effectively providing unlimited downloads to you and any quests you invite. Our typical coverage includes a preliminary photo shoot of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah during the rehearsal period at the synagogue on the Tuesday or Thursday prior to the event. This is when we capture the "Torah Shot", taken over the child's shoulder as they move the yad over the scriptures. This also provides us an ideal opportunity to discuss details with the Rabbi concerning photo etiquette during the actual ceremony. We recognize that each congregation has its own rules concerning photography during the actual Shabbat services. We will work with the rules of each synagogue. If photography during the actual Bar/Bat Mitzvah is prohibited, the preliminary rehearsal photography becomes very important. The "Torah Shot" presents stunningly as a framed 16x20 canvas. |
