The Glamazons
“The Glamazons” are the brainchild of Meryl Sherwood AKA Ladyfinger. After strutting her stuff and flaunting her assets in the downtown NYC cabaret/burlesque scene, Meryl longed to perform in a girl group. Her dream was to show the world that talent comes in all sizes. She auditioned girls from all walks of life and a bevy of buxom song and dance beauties were born! The name “Glamazons” was derived by Meryl, and is a perfect fit for these Glamorous Amazons! Learn more>>

I specialize in capturing the passions and personalities of the people I photograph. If you are familiar with my work or have been referred by a creative director, client or friend, then you know I approach things in a very relaxed and up-beat way. I enjoy a very down-to-earth approach to people and photography. Rather than posing I focus on the natural assets of the individual and select a vantage point that is most flattering. I'm more interested in conveying a personality than glamorizing an individual--it's all about what is--and then making that uniqueness stand out.

"An ideal portrait is of course one that evokes emotion from the viewing participant. It should convince the viewer of the subjects disposition; therefore it is our job as photographers to engage our subjects in such a way that his emotions are challenged and authentically presented for documenting."
-Mike, Owner SoptherLight Studios "...Love the way you look." |
