Since 1992, Thomas O’Brien has honed and curated his aesthetic by incorporating vintage comfort with warm contemporary elements to form what this admirer/photographer can only describe as the "T.O. Vernacular".
Well-designed interiors evoke a blissful enthusiasm as one experiences the space. It often feels as though there is room to breath - or should I say - a desire to breath. It has everything to do with the culminating factors of scale, color, texture, form and the harmony that these elements provide as a whole; this is, the experience. The T.O. Vernacular masterfully accomplishes this harmonic expression without a repetitive algorithmic certainty.
What does that mean (a repetitive algorithmic certainty?)
Well, the example i'll use is Cubism for example: if one observes a cubist piece it is familiar in as much as there is a general geometric quality about it; it's a genre unto itself. the recipe, although abstract is easily identifiable or intrinsically ubiquitous. Conversely the T.O. Vernacular is refreshingly unrestrained, there is a harmony between elements new and old, blended design pedigrees, and understated eloquence. It's stylized comfort with enigmatic complexity while remaining open and airy - It is refined.

Renound New York City interior designer, Thomas O'Brien of AERO Designs, was the guest of honor as LUXE magazine and Lillian August co-host Mr. O'Brien's book signing event on March 31st in Norwalk, CT.
Prominent Connecticut designers, enthusiasts, and others of note including john weiss, C.O.O. at Lillian August Designs, Inc, contributed to lively discourse during the evenings celebration.
Mr. O'Brien's inspired designs could be experienced first-hand given the design center's huge showroom. It is the perfect location to get inspired or simply immerse yourself in fine interiors.

It IS your first impression — it can get you the audition or it can lose you the job!
Your acting headshot is your business card — it represents you — so it has to look like you. When you walk through the door with your headshot, be sure you look like your headshot!
A great acting headshot should intrigue the viewer and persuade them to want to meet you; therefore certain aspects of your personality should shine through and leave the viewer curious to know more.
Full color acting headshots are now standard. Traditionally this 8″x10″ print of a ‘head and shoulders’ photograph is used to submit to casting agencies or take along to auditions. The shot needs to include your name somewhere on the print.
Headshot submissions can be done online, but you should have printed versions with you as well. Most casting agencies or agents won’t sign you unless you have an acting headshot, and most will want you to update your headshots with new ones every 6 months to a year or as your look changes.
Having at least two distinct photos either showing contrasting emotions or looks are equally advisable. This provides an edge as you look for parts; it’s quite comparable to having different versions of you resume. One tailored for certain specialties, the other’s promoting, or highlighting, your other expertise. For example, a Broadway actor or opera singer may need a more glamorous headshot than a commercial actor or musical theater singer needs. If you are an opera singer but interested in doing acting work other than opera, you may find it necessary to have a second shot geared more towards commercial or other theater work. It’s imperative to have the photos that are the right “look” for your particular industry.
You still only have one chance – a single photo to make that all important first impression, show what you look like, your passion and convince a casting agency or director that you have loads of personality.
Sound tough? It can be, but with a little thought and preparation you can get the shot.
